2. Polycarbonate Sheet
Polycarbonate sheet which is also known by its common brand names “Lexan or Makrolon (polycarbonate resin thermoplastic)”. When compared with acrylic sheet polycarb is stronger on the other hand acrylic is shinier in looks. Polycarb is much more impact resistant then acrylic but it is easier to scratch. On the other hand, Acrylic is less expensive but it is prone to cracking as compared to polycarb.
a. Solid Polycarbonate
Solid Polycarbonate can be anywhere from 35% to 300% more expensive than acrylic. When it come cutting sheets of acrylic and polycarbonate, acrylic is more manageable and can be cut with greater ease and noticeably less resistance, especially when using electrical tools.
